Description
Established in 2019, Sauna House Recorders Collective, or SHRC, is a loose creative underground collective based in North Seattle. It started back then with an inaugural *cheers* and a wild ambition to start a speakeasy-style house venue, with imaginative and elaborate stage design and psychedelic funk bands. More recently, that very same venue has been resurrected as a hybrid-retro recording studio and duplication house (The Sauna) and DIY creative space; carrying on the same spirit and afflatus of which it all began with. The space that exists here today branches out to its surrounding community, which consists of open mics, DIY shows, The Coffee Shop Lesbian zine, and a whole bunch of awesome creative freaks & bands. We are a predominantly underground collective, itself being not associated with corporate social media, and prefer the expansiveness and liberation of more seasoned technologies and adjacent innovations.
