Description
Tomato Jake is a one man, multimedia tour de force on the senses.
The project began in 2015 and has been a means of touring and creating ridiculous media. Tomato Jake is fast, intense but fun; Think Ruins played through a Sega Genesis. Additional visual elements remixed from old footage creates a typhoon of stimuli that either has you losing your mind or struck in awe of the whole ordeal.
Huge proponent of physical media and physical spaces to enjoy art/ community. Tomato Jake has always been on the fringes of whatever trends the music industry and social media have tried to shill to artists for what they call "making it in the biz". Tomato Jake sees a future where we reject the music industry and social media in favor of returning to peer to peer connections, a renewed appreciation for music/ musicians, and ultimately a new model for how artists can sustain themselves through their art.
Currently working on several EP's I am dragging my corpse to finish, a full length album I am giving myself the time to create naturally, and all manner of obsolete physical media to sell to the 12 people who get the joke.
